August x2

The newest Crabapple Hill pattern has arrived and I can hardly wait to get started!  It is all done in Redwork, similar to her "Walking in a Winter Wonderland".  We have the pattern.  We have the fabric.  We have the floss!

Unfortunately, what I do not have at this time is a working phone!  😕  If you have been trying to get a hold of me I apologize.  I bought a new (LEMON) phone and it doesn't like me. I can't receive calls and I can't get my messages. I have sent it back via snail mail and we will see how long it takes for them to fix/replace it.  I am not being intentionally rude, really!  IT'S  THE PHONE!  So if you need any help/information email me at: folktales@netzero.net or facebook message me at: folktales fabric shop.  I am so sorry if you called and left a message.  I will lose all of my data when they reboot the phone so please try again in a week or so?

Other important info:  Nikki's husband, Sean, will be here August 30th to pick up your quilts that need quilting!  So if you are almost done with a quilt top or have one waiting to be quilted bring it to Folktales next week and Sean will bring it back with him to Montana.  Nikki will return your finished quilt via mail at her expense!  I am sending a couple of fall projects for her to do her magic on.  Will post when they return!  In the meantime, enjoy these glorious days of summer!

SO MUCH FUN!

Debbie Busby has an adorable new book with all kinds of fun new projects for Christmas.  I have so many projects waiting, but I started one of hers as soon as the book came in!  This book really is PACKED FULL of fun ideas.  The book is $27.99.

Nancy Halvorsen's new fabric line and patterns have arrived!  I have been eagerly awaiting them and they were worth the wait!                 The first 6 patterns are here.  They retail for $12.00 each and you really get your money's worth!

She will have 6 more patterns for fall and winter.

And her entire fabric line "Wander Lane" that compliments the patterns is in stock and available for $12.00 per yard.

Her companion fabric line "Whisper Weave" is her new basic and should be arriving soon!  Gonna have to empty some
bolts to make room for them!

Lots of other fabrics have arrived as well!
So when you are ready to start a new project Folktales has fun new fabric and ideas to get you started!

Strawberry Season has arrived!

There is truly nothing sweeter than Lynden strawberries!
My parents met in the strawberry fields behind Folktales when my mom was 14 and my dad was 16.
How sweet is that?!?
To celebrate the sweet strawberry season I have made samples of some of Buttermilk Basin's wool strawberry projects.  The pinkeeps in the photo above and the wool mat below are each $9.00 per pattern.
And this cute "Strawberries all Around" is just $7.00.

Shop Hop ends tomorrow and beginning July 5th the 25th (plus 2 Covid years) Anniversary of Folktales will begin! It will go ALL month long!  If I get a chance I will try to make kits of these Strawberry projects.  I will give more details of the Anniversary celebrations soon.  In the meantime, thank you to all who have been able to participate in Shop Hop!  It has been a really fun (and exhausting) 2 weeks!

And this is a new series from Buttermilk Basin...mini wagons thru the year.  These patterns are also $7.00 each.
So far I only have this one finished!

A few new things at Folktales

FINALLY finished piecing "Noah's Journey" from Crabapple Hill.  It is now in Nikki's capable hands, waiting to be quilted.  I am very pleased with how it turned out.  I used mostly mediums and darks for my piecing and added a border because I didn't think it looked finished without a border framing it.  I also used a small rainbow print in the pieced blocks and used that rainbow print for the backing because...how can you have Noah's Ark without the rainbow?!?
Can't wait to get this one back and on display!

This is a new Halloween line from Riley Blake by
Teresa Kogut...Cutest witches ever!
A new line for all my woodsie friends...particularly those with Canadian connections.  All of my children were born in Canada so I am pretty sure they will all want a quilt with this fabric line!
THIS is my 2022 Shop Hop Block.  Thank you, Mimi Fowler, for proofing the pattern for me.  Shop Hop will be from June 17th to the 30th, seven days a week.  Stop by to get your flyer with the passport or go to the website:  Western Washington Quilt Shop Hop.
The finished quilt will be on display at Kori's Fabric Creations in Bellinham.
This is "November Drive" by Crabapple Hill. The pattern is $10.00.  The pattern and fabric kit is $29.95.  The colored pencils and flosses are sold separately and are available in the shop.

Another Crabapple pattern I have made a sample of, "Shop Hop Cruise".  Her pattern has a yellow convertible bug, but I have a 1979 red convertible bug so I changed the color!  I am keeping this sample for myself!  The pattern is $10.00 and the pattern and fabric kit is $24.95.  Again, the colored pencils and flosses are sold separately.

This is a Hoffman "Celebrate the Seasons" panel for July.                            I have January through July done, along with the                       "Home Sweet Home" panel.

NEW FABRICS!   This is Promenade from 3 Sisters for Moda.
The coral and white is 118" wide backing fabric.
These beauties arrived today.  Pre cuts for Renew by Sweetwater and Christmas Faire by Cathe Holden.
I LOVE MY JOB!!!
These gorgeous prints are from Moda, Tulip Tango by Robin Pickens.

I am sure I have missed all kinds of new samples and fabrics, but these are just teasers.  You will have to stop by the shop to see the full range of all the amazing creativity by all these amazing designers!  It has been great to see so many friendly faces returning after these long months of isolation.  I hope you have burned through your stash and are eager to restock your shelves with these fun new products!
