SO many new children's quilts to share with you!  The first one is a new pattern called
2 X 2. It uses Fat quarters and it is super quick to make and to quilt!  This sample is made with some of the new flannels from Maywood Studio.  It has a flannel backing of the construction print and the cost of the kit is $72.00.  Sorry, I couldn't crop out my ceiling or my husband's legs...it just makes the quilt a rectangle instead of a square.  I can do a lot of things with these old gnarled hands, but I will NEVER master technology!

This next one is my all time favorite pattern for table runners, table toppers, crib quilts and snuggly adult quilts.  It is called "Abundantly Blessed" by Cotton Way and can be made with 5" squares or 10" squares.  It is the one I encourage every beginner quilter to start with!  It is SO forgiving if you don't get all your squares matched up at the corners!  It uses charm packs, or for bigger quilts, a layer cake.  This one was made with 2 of Maywood Studio's Charm Packs from their new flannels.
It has a white Minkee backing and the cost of the kit is $82.00.
Here is another sample of the 2 X 2 pattern done with Maywood Studio's new flannels in feminine colors.  My sample has yellow Minkee on the back, but it is no longer available, so the kit has light purple Minkee on the back.  The kit is $72.00

This is another sample of the "Abundantly Blessed" quilt pattern using Deb Strain's fabric line "Effie's Woods".    It has Yellow Minkee on the back and the cost of this kit is $78.00.

I have also gotten a few new Christmas quilts done and a fall pumpkin quilt finished that I hand quilted.  I will get pictures of those posted as soon as possible!

Upcoming events: I will be teaching a hand embroidery class at Moonlight Quilters on November 11th
I will be at the Red Barn Market November 15th and 16th
Folktales' Christmas Open House will be on December 6th and 7th

And I want to give all of you advance notice that as of this coming year I will be closing for the month of February so I can regroup and recharge.
My husband is now semi-retired and I can tell that I am getting older and can't get as much done in the evenings as I used to do.  My closets need purging, my store, stock and samples need organizing...my house needs some long overdue painting.
I am hoping this will make it easier for me to continue to work at a job that I love, with customers who have become part of my family, without feeling overwhelmed all the time.
We might even get to head South for a few weeks!
