Happy Valentine's Day!

Lots of the fabric goodies that were ordered at Quilt Market are being delivered, and I have made several new samples for the shop.  The remodel is going well.  We have one room completely finished and have begun the second room.  Lots of noise and dust but I think you will agree with me when you see the first room finished that it is definitely worth the inconvenience!  I am thrilled with it.  And really anxious to get it all finished so I can fill it up again with all my favorite things!  I also purchased a new computer but have not had time yet to figure out how to transfer all my info and passwords so I need my kids to come home for a visit and rescue me!  I will start snapping photos as soon as I can figure out how to post them.  The brain is just so full of other really vital information...like all the lyrics to every song "Bread" ever sang, there is just no room left.  I hope you have some chocolate today and maybe a chance to take a few stitches.

new goodies...at last!

New fabrics from Red Rooster...so pretty!  The newest Fon's and Porter magazine has a double Irish Chain quilt featuring this line.  The project sheet looks pretty sweet, also.

Merry Christmas!
Wishing each and every one of you a Very Blessed Christmas. It is such a beautiful time to reflect on the Hope and Light of the world being sent to us in our darkness and despair.
I hope you have someone special to share it with.
Parties and presents aren't bad, either!
Folktales will be closing at 2 pm today and will be open at 10 am on Monday, December 26th.
Thanks for all the support you have given me this past year.  What a year I have had!  But facing each day has been so much better because of all the encouragement and patience I have received from you.  Thank you so  very much.  I also appreciate the extra effort you have made to get to Folktales during the ongoing road construction.
The bridge is STILL closed, but it looks like progress is being made.  For now you will have to follow the detour by taking Front Street to 17th.  Turn South and follow the bend onto Kok Road.  Folktales will be on your left.
So go wrap up those last few stocking stuffers, fill your cup with some Christmas cheer, break open those chocolates and have a wonderful day!

Here are some more ideas for some hostess gifts or for yourself

A new post at LAST!

Sorry it's been so long since I have posted.  If there was a booby prize for the world's worst blogger, I think I would qualify!
But the elves have been busy in the store (if only I could get them to run the blogspot!)and there are lots of last minute gift ideas, as well as quick projects, kits...
Shabby Fabrics Holly Tree Skirt.  The kit is $85.00

I made 8 flannel pillowcases on Monday.  Last year it was pajama pants.  It isn't Christmas around here unless I am madly sewing for my friends and family!

Quick gift bag ideas.  These happen to be sized to fit wine bottles.  Surprise!
Once Upon a Vine's Holiday Pillows
This is a finished Gift Item for those of us who don't have time to stitch!

And here is Primitive Gatherings Christmas Mat that I LOVE!  The kit is $59.95.  The pattern by itself is $10.00
