Here is another finished Christmas project! These are from All Through the Night...once again, they start with pre-printed fabric and you get to add the appliques and embroidery! Bonnie, the designer, used flannel but I chose to use wool. There are directions for both the ornaments or a wall hanging. The pattern with the pre-printed fabric is $18.00. I made wool kits for the ornaments. The pattern and wool kit is $32.95.

a few new projects for FALL!
Thistles Table Runner
pattern $12.00
Kit $54.00
A Pumpkin Witch from Sew Many Prims. The pattern is $10.00.
I dyed some chenille to make mine.
Night Flight pattern is $7.50. I spray painted a plastic Charger plate and
glued the finished wool candle mat to it.
Gnomes, gnomes and MORE gnomes! So much fun to make! 2 different patterns, each $10.00. So much fun you can't make just one!
BeWitching is a fun new project. I finished it with raw edge applique. The pattern is $10.00.
A new quilt made for my sweet grand daughter. The pattern is from Yesterday's Charm called "Little Lady". Nikki Crisp did an awesome quilting job!! The pattern is $10.00. I made a "Hugs & Kisses border. I learned a few new tips with this one...The colored squares are always twice the size of the corner squares. I used 2 1/2" colored squares and 1 1/4" corner squares. I also learned that you can just finger press the corner squares on the diagonal instead of marking them with a pencil.
What a great time saver!
"Flurry" is a 90" square quilt, although the pattern offers several sizes. It is raw edge quilted. A very different project for me but it is always fun to try something new! It is fat quarter friendly.
Nikki did her magic on this one, again! The pattern is $10.00.
Bareroots has a new series of dishtowel stitcheries. Each pattern is $8.50.
They also make great pillow case cuffs!
I used the "Burrito" pillow case pattern to make these cute pillow cases.
The "s'mores" fabric is in stock!
This is the latest completed project from "Sew Many Prims"
Gotta love that popcorn garland, made from wool felt!
I used some new fall fabrics from Tim Holtz to make a sample of the "EZ Breezy" table runner pattern, $9.00. I also made a sample using Robin Pickens' new Christmas fabric line.
Look for it in the next blog update!
And here is one of my FAVORITES!!! It is from Buttermilk Basin. It can be made as a table runner or wall/door hanger. Mine is going on my front door! The "base" pattern is $10.00 and the "O" in HOME is switched out for every season or month. The individual patterns for the "O" center are $7.00 each. They can also be made as candle mats.
Here are the finished "O" centers...I put this one in a plastic charger plate just to give you another idea for the center pieces!
The Whatcom County Quilt shops are
planning some great treats for
November 30th, "Shop Small Saturday"
(the day after "Black Friday").
Stay tuned for details or look for more info at one of the shops.
And Folktales's Christmas Open House
will be held on
December 6th and 7th.
More details to come...

ROW X ROW CORRECTIONS
My sincere apologies...it appears that on the first batch of pattern instructions the printer's missed a crucial page of instructions and I did not catch the error. Here is the missing second page:
Sew one of these completed strips to the top of the block and one to the bottom of the block.
Your block should measure 18 1/2" square.
Apron:
Pockets: Sew on traced line. Cut a scant 1/4" out around seam. Clip curves and slit through one layer of each pocket, Turn RSO and press. Topstitch pockets to apron as shown on apron pattern template, leaving the top open.
Apron Tie: Fold in half and sew along the 36" side of the strip and sew ends of the tie at a 45 degree angle, leaving a 2 to 3 inch space unsewn to turn the apron tie RSO. Turn, press and set aside.
Ruffle: Fold in half and sew the short ends of the ruffle RST. Turn, press and sew gathering stitches along the raw edge of the ruffle. Gather to 15". Pin to the bottom edge of the apron front, RST, pinning ends of ruffle about 1/2" down from the top of the apron edges. The ruffle should be up over the bottom of the apron at this point. Pin the second apron piece RST over this and sew along outside edges of apron, leaving the top edge unsewn. Clip curves and turn RSO. Press well and gather top of apron to 4". Pin to cream print center of block, centered with sides and bottom of ruffle about 1" in from the edge (seamline) of the background fabric. Pin in place and stitch the top gathered raw edge of the apron to the background fabric. Stitch in the ditch on the seam attaching the ruffle to apron. Center the apron tie over the top of the apron's gathered raw edge. Pin over the gathers. At the sides of the apron fold the ties behind the "waistband" so that you can tie a bow with the loose ends behind and above the apron. Topstitch around all four sides of the waistband you have just created about 1/8" in from the edges, over the gathers and catching the ties as you go. Start on the bottom edge of the waistband. When you get to the top edge of the waistband you will have to ease in the extra fabric.
Trace the designs as pictured onto the muslin using an 01 or 005 brown pigma pen. Color with Prisma Premier colored pencils. After coloring, use blending stumps to blend the colors and set by painting with colorless extender. When dry, heat set with iron on back of stitchery. Crabapplehillstudio.com has a great tutorial on their website.
Again, I am so sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this oversight must have caused.
